The non-refundable deposit covers 2 hours of dedicated research for your order. Instead of you doing the research by yourself and sending your diecast car to my PO box, you are paying me to do it for you. This guarantees I am paid fairly for my time, even if you decide not to move forward with the custom order after receiving the invoice.

Premade keychains are lower in price compared to custom keychains because of the time put into them. I work on premade keychains in bulk; I don’t focus all my energy on one keychain at a time. With custom orders, you are paying me to take time away from bulk work. I am spending 2 hours of my time dedicated to research, plus an additional 2+ hours focused on your custom paint work, custom beading, and/or even making clay charms by hand.

Most honest answer? Because I never will. I do not work off of requests; that's the point of custom orders. I may never make the car you want for various reasons; It’s not a common car, it’s not something I like or care for, it doesn’t resonate with my audience and customers, or I know it will not be easy to sell and may sit in my shop for a long time.

Yes, but you will still need to pay the full price of a custom order. It requires an entirely new set of beads, charms, and/or custom paint, and the same amount of dedicated time and labor.

Yes, I can push your custom order ahead of all others and dedicate extra time to finishing it as fast as possible. Rushed orders will be done in order of purchase dates; for example, if I have 2 current rushed orders and 5 custom orders, yours will be 3rd. Please understand there can still be longer shipping times if you paid for a deposit rather than sending in your own car. Rushed order fee is $100.
